Please keep Denny Betscher and his family in your prayers as they deal with their loss.

Evelyn (Evie) Ruth Betscher-Bordelon quietly passed away early Tues morning, June 22. Evie was born in Sharonville, Ohio on August 18,1921. She was predeceased by her two brothers "Junie" Diesel & Bob Diesel and is survived by her son Dennis Gene Betscher, her daughter-in-law Jo Ann, her granddaughters Karen Betscher, Kimberly Hamilton, and Nikole Klink, and several nieces and nephews. Evie was an active member of the Elkenettes 1812 and the LARCS. Additionally while her health still allowed, she traveled with the El Cajon Travelers. She was a very kind, gentle spirited lady who was very active - she will be sorely missed by her many friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, July 14, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of El Cajon, 190 E. Douglas Street. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church of El Cajon.

Hi everyone. I have an urgent request. A dear sweet man at my church is being rushed to the hospital with chest pains, pains down his arm and the arm is numb. His name is Joe and his sweet wife is Judy. Please, please pray that everything will be OK.

And, please keep Toni Masson is your prayers too. She is dealing with some medical issues and needs to have God's touch in her body.

Prayer update for Margo

Margo's surgery was a great success . . . THANK YOU GOD! They got all the tumor and she didn't loose any vision . . not peripheral or anything, as the tumor was wrapped around her optic nerve. She will be home in 3-4days!!
She will go thru chemo and radiation to make sure they got it all . . as of now anyway. She will be in icu today then in a regular room.
Thank you all so much for your prayers. This is such great news. Please keep her in your prayers for continued success and an easy time with the chemo.

Dianne Sloan was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago Tuesday. She had an abscessed gland that needed antibiotic treatment. It was similar to the problem she had ten years ago that resulted in a tracheostomy and two thoracic surgeries. She was just in overnight this time but had an appointment in Las Vegas the following Tuesday for a followup and on Tuesday this week, another appointment in Las Vegas. Please pray that they find a solution to this problem and for her healing. This is from Dianne:

We have really stumbled into a mare's nest with the car transmission. It has been going on for five weeks now. (We went to a highly recommended mechanic in the area. After two weeks (rental car involved) we got our car back with a rebuilt transmission. This transmission was worse than our old one and it barely made it to the emergency room at 5am on the morning my problem started. After having a CAT scan at the local ER, we were told to go to Las Vegas for further assessment and treatment. The car just made it back to the mechanic's shop and he drove us to the car rental.

We are still renting that car and if our car is not done by tomorrow, we will be buying a whoopty from Craig's List. Only time will tell the outcome.

Please keep this situation in your prayers also.

I got a chance to talk to Marriam this weekend. She is such a fighter she has deceided to go and have chemo she is determined to beat cancer again. my heart and prayers are with her. Please remember Ron Mills (from our class), as his surgery is on Mon. the 7th.

Please keep Glenda Melton in your prayers. She has been ill off and on for about 2 years now, and they just found mold under the floor in their kitchen. This could explain her different problems. Please pray for an simple fix and that Glenda will now get better once it is taken care of.

Christopher continues to do good, and possibly will come home on Wed.

Charlie continues to do good and hasn't had a trip to the hospital since the air purifier went in. Praise God.

Please remember Val.............as she is having a very rough time with these treatments and trying to get her meds regulated.

Should know more about Margo this week. Please just pray that the cancer can be treated.

Dave Salyers and Bev Brannon both have moves to new homes coming up this month. Please pray that these moves will go smoothly. Praise God for their answers to their prayers.

Good News................

Great news from Toni:

My wonderful prayer warriors . . .

My little Christopher is off of the respirator!!!! His blood pressure is

good and his oxygen stats are in the 80's - - just where they expected

them to be. Yesterday before they sedated him his dad said that

everytime Christopher heard his voice he would look at him . . . and

followed his voice around the room. That is such a great sign . . . we

think anyway. . . since the doctors were very worried about brain

damage.

Thank you for all of your prayers!! Our God is awsome . . . and he

heard every one of them!!!

Please keep that little guy in your prayers . . . for healing, for absolutely

no brain damage . . . and that his sweet little heart will just keep on

getting better with each surgery.

Emergency prayer for Christopher

Hi guys..........we need everyone on their knees. Little Christopher is in trouble. When they cut into him for his surgery, ( he only has half a heart, and the arota was wrapped around his sternum or at least not in the right place), somehow they cut his arota. They couldn't get him off the by pass machine, and this caused not enough oxegen to his brain. They don't think he is brain dead, because he responds when they touch him. This all came from Toni which she got from a 3rd party, so she is waiting to hear from Christopher's Mom or Dad. In the mean time, please pray big time for him...........and for the family. Thank you.................................

Update on Christopher and Val

Christopher got thur surgery but they almost lost him twice. There were big complications . . . the doctor isn't sure that the outcome of this will be good. He's in PICU and we'll know more later tonite. So much prayer is needed for this little guy.

Val is doing ok. Blood sugar was down to 107 this am . . . hands and face are very swollen and so are ankles but she only takes steroids every other day so that might explain it.

He came thru the heart catherazation(sp?) fine but it showed that he needs the

next surgery in the next few days because his heart isn't pumping enough

blood. When he was here his little hands and feet were so cold and bluish

so hopefully this surgery will help him a whole lot. I know he will come thru this

surgery as good as he did last time but any surgery on such a little guy is

serious. He only weighs 11lbs 12 oz and he's 5 months old . . . he's just so

tiny.

prayers for Jan Stewart Gray - class of '62

Please pray for Janis Stewart Gray (class of '62), has an infection of the staph type but is worse than a staph infection. Anyway it started with what was apparently a spider bite in her NOSE - got infected and it is an infection that only responds to antibiotics given in an IV - so she is at Sharps in S.D. Right now it has spread down to her jaws - and the danger is that it can affect the kidneys and liver. It is called MRSA. She sounds good - however her husband said she is very much on pain meds. The infection is still spreading - and this can be fatal. So please keep her in your prayers. I am going down to see her tomorrow. Thanks

First I want to thank you all for your wonderful prayer support. Please keep my pastor's wife, Val, in your prayers. She has started her treatments of steroids for her auto immune disease affecting her kidneys. She will alternate with a chemo pill. This is very hard on her, and they don't even know if it will work! Please pray that it will. She is just miserable and hurting all the time and very swollen already. Can't imagine what the steroids will do!

And thank you for yor continued prayers for Charlie. Right now he is doing good, especially since we were able to have East County Posse evaluate the air quality in their home, and gave them a special air purifier for Charlie's room. This has been a huge help. Praise God.

Update on Baby Girl

Just got a call from Pastor Dennis.

Josh and Holly's baby girl got her angels wings as soon as she was born.

Please pray for the family, including Dennis' sister Amy. Please give them

all comfort and peace during this very hard time.

Also, keep Dennis and Val in your prayers. They are on the way to Hemet

to attend the funeral of Dennis' cousins husband who passed away a few

days ago.

This request is from Toni, but me too! Pastor Dennis is our pastor. Such a sad situation. This little girls top half of her brain, did not form. Please keep this family in your prayers. Also, continued prayers for Dennis's wife, Valerie. She has started treatments, including chemo and is still not doing good.

Charlie is doing better and not crying. Not sure what they have done or given him, but this is just what happens to Charlie. They are saying he should come home on Mon.

Judy's son was sent to George Bailey prison. Please keep this family and Matt in your prayers, and pray for Matt's protection.

Please pray for Pastor Dennis' nephew and his wife, Josh and Holly. They

are in the hospital and she is pushing "as we speak" to quote our Pastor.

The baby has some major problems and we don't know how long this

precious little girl will be with us. It could be minutes or hours or months.

Only God knows the answer to that. Please pray for Josh, Holly and their

family . . . and this precious little angel who is coming into this world.

Update on Charlie

Charlie was admitted to the hospital Wed., in pain, screaming and crying, every time you touched or moved him. They did some x-rays and tests, found a spot on his lung and then waiting for the x-ray to be read and the test results. All his screaming and crying was making his oxygen low and his heart rate high. Today they did a full body scan and found no broken bones (which they were worried about because his bones are so brittal), but an infection. So they are treating that and keeping him til Sun. or Mon., to keep an eye on him. Please pray that the infection gets under control, and that Charlie will be in no more pain. And.........for Julie too. This is so hard on her. Brian gets back home on Sat., so thank the Lord for that. Thank you guys for all your prayers.

Prayers for Charlie

Please keep our precious Charlie in your prayers. He is having some major

pain issues . . . just screams when you move him - or touch him. The little

guy is just miserable.
Julie took him to the ortho dr. yesterday but it wasn't that bad at the time and the doctor wasn't concerned. Things got worse as the day went on . . . don't know how he is today . . . last time this happened he screamed in pain for no reason, he had a broken leg that no one knew about! He will probably end up in the hospital again.

I thank you so much for your continued prayers for Charlie.

Hi all..................Just wanted to let you know that Dave and Martha finally got an offer on their house and they accepted it. Actually they got a few. The people look good and are already approved for the loan. Just pray that is all goes through smoothly and that one of the four houses they are looking at will be just the right one for them. They will now be closer to their church. Praise God for such great news.

Update on little Christopher

Christopher was admitted to the hospital because he was losing weight and not doing good. Then, Christopher was transferred to Kaiser in Los Angeles a few days ago, and was on Oxygen with an IV in his head because they could find no other vein. He is 4 months old now, and will require another surgery on his heart, when they can get him well.

Christopher is now off of oxygen but still can't keep anything down so they are going to change his formula again to see if that helps.

Hi,

Please keep Christopher in your prayers. They are still running tests to

find out what's wrong . . . and fix it! He is just a little pin cushion right now

and he doesn't like it one bit!! They have done heart CT's and today are

trying to give him more pedialite to see if he can tolerate it . . . he's hungry

and just wants some food! Not a happy little camper these days. Please

pray they find out what's wrong and get it under control before he has to

under go his second open heart surgery.

Prayer for mining accident

My brother just called . . . Eric's 1/2 brother, who I call my nephew too, is a mining engineer in West Va. I knew his wasn't the mine that exploded but he is on the rescue team and they just found all the miners . . . they were all dead. We need to pray for all those families who lost husbands, fathers, brothers in this terrible accident.

Please also pray for all those on these rescue teams. That has to be about the worst job. Please pray for peace in their minds and hearts.

Please pray for Denny's 88 year old mom, Evelyn, in prayer. He is meeting with her doctos tomorrow and she is going to have to have back surgery. Please pray for good decisions on the doctors and that all will to well. Also keep Denny in prayer during this time. I will keep eveyone updated.
